Waterloo man violates order of protection

On Thursday around 12:41 am the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports that a Waterloo man was arrested on Waterloo Geneva Road in Seneca County on an arrest warrant issued out of Phelps Town Court.Ricardo M. Torres, 27, of Waterloo allegedly violated a court order of protection by sending electronic messages to the protected individual on April 13th. He was charged with criminal contempt in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor.He was arraigned in Geneva Town Court and remanded to the Ontario County Jail in lieu of $250 cash or $500 insurance bond. He will appear in Phelps Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.
