Waterloo teen faces more drug charges

On Thursday at about 11:59 am the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit arrested Austin T. Wheeler, age 19 of no permanent address, on a bench warrant issued out of the Waterloo Town Court for failing to appear on a charge of sale of an imitation controlled substance in the Town of Waterloo. Sheriff’s Investigators also charged Wheeler with one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a Class B Felony, and one count of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree, a Class B Felony, which relates to an incident in April of 2016 where Wheeler sold a quantity of heroin in the Town of Waterloo. Wheeler was arraigned in the Waterloo Town Court and was released on his own recognizance. Wheeler is to reappear in the Waterloo Town Court on May 27th at 9:30 am.
