Fights involving Geneva students on Monday after school

Geneva City School District officials learned Tuesday morning that the Geneva Police Department responded to two disturbances Monday afternoon involving students. The disturbances, which included a fight on Geneva General Hospital property and another moments later on North Main Street, occurred after school and off school property. The district in no way condones the reprehensible behavior of the students involved. School officials are cooperating with police to identify the students and ensure appropriate action is taken.A statement from the Geneva City School District reads:“The conduct of these students is not an accurate representation of the majority of Geneva City School District students, who hold the principles of mutual respect and tolerance in high regard.”
