Naples crash sends two to Strong

On Sunday at 2:33 pm the Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies, Naples Ambulance, Naples Fire Department, Canandaigua Ambulance, Bristol Fire Department, and Mercy Flight responded to State Route 64 near Bristol Mountain for the report of a head on motor vehicle accident.Yelena Zweers, 38 of Victor, was traveling north on St. Rt. 64 when she lost control of her vehicle as she entered a curve. Zweers’ vehicle then traveled into the southbound lane and collided with a vehicle traveling south driven by Page Standish, 45 of Naples.Zweers complained of dizziness and head pain and was transported to Strong Memorial by Canandaigua Ambulance. Her husband, Paul Zweers, a passenger in the vehicle reported to have no injuries. Page Standish was extracted from her vehicle by Naples Fire Department using the jaws of life and transported by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial for chest pain.All occupants were using their seatbelts and airbags deployed in both vehicles. Yelena Zweers was issued a citation for failing to keep right.
