Rain location for all concerts in Seneca Falls is at the Seneca Falls Community Center. The Seneca Falls Community Band plays a mix of pop music, Broadway show tunes, popular marches, orchestral and classic arrangements, as well as specially commissioned works. “We offer many different styles of music, as well as new and familiar pieces of music for our listeners’ pleasure this summer,” said Tom Montgomery, the band’s President. “Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on and come to enjoy summer evenings with the Seneca Falls Community Band. If you play an instrument and would like to join us, please do that too! We rehearse once a week and new members are always welcome. Most of our concerts are at the Band Stand in People’s Park in Seneca Falls.” SFCB’s conductor is beloved musician Andy Stobie, who also conducts the Greater Finger Lakes Jazz Orchestra. Andy notes, “We have some brand new popular arrangements to offer this summer that our audiences will tap their toes to, so come on down to the canal-side band stand and join your friends and neighbors!” The Seneca Falls Community Band is comprised entirely of local community volunteer musicians, and is sponsored by individual, community, and business donations and contributions; all concerts are free.
