Change in leadership at the United Way of Seneca County

On June 28, 2016 Karen Macier, Executive Director of the United Way of Seneca County, resigned her position and assumed the position of Executive Director of the United Way of Cayuga County. Macier, resident of Auburn, New York, stated this was a difficult decision for her given the wonderful relationships she had developed during her one year tenure at UWSC, but the opportunity to work and live in Auburn was too “strong of a pull” for her to refuse the position. Fortunately, Karen Beals, former long-time Executive Director of United Way of Seneca County, is serving as the Interim Executive Director of the organization. Jeff Hoffman, President of the United Way of Seneca County is “thrilled” to have Beals return in this capacity. He also stated a Search Committee has been organized and the search process for a new Executive Director has started. United Way of Seneca County, under the capable leadership of Beals and Hoffman, will sustain the momentum of the 2016-2017 United Way campaign as well as facilitating the organization’s new 2016-2018 Strategic Plan.
