Man tried to have witness killed in Seneca County

A Romulus man is facing felony charges after he allegedly sought out an individual to kill a witness in an ongoing criminal case.On Tuesday, at approximately 1:00 pm investigators in Seneca County arrested Daniel S. MacGill, 21, of no permanent address on a charge of criminal solicitation in the second degree — a class D felony.Deputies say the charge stems from an incident where MacGill allegedly commanded someone to kill a potential witness in a criminal investigation. He is currently remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on unrelated charges.He was arraigned in Fayette Town Court and remanded back to the facility on the new charges. MacGill will reappear in Romulus Town Court on July 22nd at 10 am to answer the charges.
