The City of Geneva has completed it’s transition over to the Ontario County E911 system.
Officials announced completion of the transition on Tuesday afternoon with a press release, which highlighted the locations of call boxes throughout the city. The move was made in an effort to save money, while also providing a better service to the community.
The call boxes provide residents with the ability to walk up and speak directly with the E911 Center in Ontario County. The Ontario County E911 Center has assumed all dispatching for Geneva Police and Fire Departments on July 25th.
The Geneva Police Department has setup an administrative phone line that will assist any routine, non-emergency police needs — which can be reached by dialing (315) 828-6771. The Geneva Fire Department has a similar line setup at (315) 828-6595.
As always, for emergencies residents are asked to dial 911.
