The Geneva Red Wings are encouraging all residents and visitors to root, root, root for the home team as they play their final game against the Adirondack Trail Blazers this Friday, July 29 at 7 pm at the historic McDonough Park.
Park admission will be free for Fan Appreciation Night, as a way to say thank you to all of the fans who have supported the Red Wings during their 2016 season.
“McDonough Park and the Geneva Red Wings are an important facet of not only in regards to the history of the City, but as part of the current recreational offerings that have established Geneva as a Playful City over the past five years. Let’s pack the park with cheering fans while enjoying one of Geneva’s historical treasures.” said Julie Coleman, Director of Marketing and Communications.
Immediately following the game at 9:30 pm, there will be fireworks sponsored by IBEW Local 840 for all to enjoy.
McDonough Park, formerly known as Shuron Park, has been an integral part of Geneva since 1958. Residents and visitors will have an opportunity to enjoy the new park improvements, while having an opportunity to enjoy an All-America pastime in an All-America City.
