Geneva man charged with contempt after violating order of protection

A Geneva man was charged with criminal contempt in the first degree after an alleged altercation involving his wife.

Deputies say Kyle Anthony Dimarco, 20, of Geneva was charged with criminal contempt in the first degree after allegedly slapping his wife on the leg while they were in their room on Hamilton Street. It was a violation of a refrain from order of protection, which was issued in Newark Village Court. Deputies say Dimarco was arraigned in Geneva Town Court and was committed to the Ontario County Jail on $1,500 cash bail.

He was be appearing in Geneva Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.
