Seneca Falls house condemned after driver strikes tree, structure

A Seneca Falls man was arrested Sunday after an accident on Garden Street Extension in the Town of Seneca Falls. Police arrested Stephen C. Mccann, 21, of Seneca Falls after he was found to be driving while intoxicated when he lost control of his vehicle on Farron Road — striking a tree, as well as a house, which was later condemned.

Authorities say Mccann lost control of his vehicle when he was traveling north on Farron Road, which caused him to travel across Garden Street Extension — striking a tree and house on the north side of the roadway. Officers say Mccann suffered lacerations and was transported by North Seneca Ambulance to Geneva General Hospital.

Mccann’s vehicle suffered extensive damage and was towed from the scene. Seneca County Code Enforcement responded to the scene and condemned the house due to damage suffered during the accident.

Mccann will appear on August 18, at 10 am to answer the charges.
