Unusual steps taken in Geneva riot case, another court appearance Monday

Another appearance in court Monday by two of the five teens charged with first-degree riot in connection with a June 6 disturbance in the city of Geneva revealed that still no agreement has been reached between the youth and prosecutors. During the appearance in Geneva City Court, 17-year-old Ramaj M. Durant’s attorney, Brian Fay, revealed that he will be sitting down with his client’s mother, a member of the District Attorney’s Office and a detective with the Geneva Police Department to review video of the incident that gave rise to the charges.
