Auburn takes lead on $550,000 repairs to hydroelectric facility along Owasco River

Until Thursday night, one of Auburn's hydroelectric facilities was at something of a crossroads. The Mill Street Hydroelectric Facility, designed to take Owasco River flows and convert them to energy, needs repairs to a leaking penstock and a degrading concrete section. A stop gate also must be installed as per federal energy regulations.
