Farmington man charged in domestic incident after causing 10-year-old to hit wall

Deputies in Ontario County say that a 25-year-old Farmington resident is behind bars awaiting arraignment following a domestic incident, which involved a female victim and two children.

Deputies say Raymond L. Williams, 25, of Farmington was arrested for endangering the welfare of a child and disorderly conduct. Authorities say the dispute involved Williams and a 27-year-old female.

Raymond allegedly forcefully took their 2-year-old son from the victim’s arms, causing her to fall back and push a 10-year-old child into a wall — striking her head. When deputies arrived, Raymond failed to stop kicking the door of the apartment. They say he was also shouting and cursing at the time of the incident when deputies had arrived.

He was arrested without further incident and child protective services was called to the scene. Raymond will answer the charges at a later date.
