Man charged with robbery after altercation in grocery story in Wayne Co.

An Ontario man has been charged with two counts after an investigation into an incident, which started as a physical altercation, according to authorities in Wayne County.

Deputies say that Anthony A. Loquasto, 31, of Ontario was charged with robbery in the third degree, and grand larceny in the fourth degree. The charges stem from an investigation into a complaint at Top’s Friendly Market in Ontario where Loquasto was involved in a physical altercation with an employee while trying to flee the scene after stealing a few items.

Deputies say that he was arraigned in Ontario Town Court and committed to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to answer the charges at a later date.
