Canandaigua Police Dept. reports series of arrests in August

The Canandaigua Police Department reports a series of arrests, which took place over the last 10 days.

Eduardo Arias, 63, was charged with petit larceny after allegedly stealing a number of items from WEgmans in Canandaigua. The items were valued at $64.49.

Edward J. Howe, 28 of Canandaigua was charged with disorderly conduct on August 12 at 8:28 pm after being give several warnings by police officers to stop yelling obscenities at children. He continued yelling obscenities and was arrested.

Daniel J. Ballman, 48 of Canandaigua was charged with criminal contempt in the second degree on August 12 at 9:19 pm on Salton St. in Canandaigua. While providing a victim with a copy of a stay away order of protection signed by Ballman in court the night before, Ballman was located inside the residence.

He was arrested and transported to the jail to await arraignment.
