Two charged with sale of prescription pills in Seneca Falls

On August 18 the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit arrested two people related to the sale and distribution of prescription pills in the Town of Seneca Falls.

Arrested were the following:

Benjamin U. Massey, 42, of Seneca Falls, on two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the fifth degree — Class D felonies. Deputies say, Massey sold quantities of amphetamine and diazepam on two separate occasions while in the Town of Seneca Falls. Massey was arraigned in Tyre Town Court and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $500 cash bail or $1,000 secured bond.

Massey is to reappear in the Seneca Falls Town Court at a later date.

Michael A. Thompson, 61, of Seneca Falls was charged with two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the fifth degree — Class D felonies. It is alleged that Thompson sold quantities of clonazepam on two separate occasions while in the Town of Seneca Falls. According to deputies, Thompson was arraigned in Tyre Town Court and released on his own recognizance.

Thompson is to reappear in the Seneca Falls Town Court at a later date.

The Narcotics Unit was assisted by members of the Sheriff’s Uniform Road Patrol and Seneca Falls Police Department.
