Wayne Co. Sheriff’s deputy injured in two car crash in Rose

A Wayne County Sheriff’s deputy was injured in a two car crash at the intersection of High St. and Wayne Center Rose Rd. in the Town of Rose around 3:30 pm.

Reports indicate that the deputy involved was Sheriff’s Investigator Mark Loveless, who was struck by a vehicle traveling on High St. after making an improper left turn onto Wayne Center Rose Rd., which Loveless was traveling eastbound on.

Both parties were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained in the accident. However, the severity of the injuries sustained hasn’t been made official yet. Officials from Wayne County have indicated that Wanda Baker, the operator of the second vehicle will be issued traffic tickets.
