A sewage line leak in Victor resulted in bad odors and a night of work for crews looking to clean up and fix the mess. Officials say that the break was located between the Burger King at 600 Rowley Rd. and the M&T Bank on Tuesday afternoon.
The original report came in suggesting that it was a water main break – which turned out to be a sewer line. Officials estimate that around 350 gallons of discharge per minute was being leaked when the call came in. The discharge was untreated, raw sewage, which crews worked overnight to correct. It’s unclear what the long-term implications of the leak will be.
