Literacy Volunteers to hold orientation sessions in Cayuga County

Literacy Volunteer tutors assist adult learners in Basic Literacy or English as a Second Language.  Our services help individuals become independent readers and writers, or learn to speak English.  Educational goals are based on the individual.  Whether it’s to get a better job, read to their children, improve reading abilities, or develop conversational English, our student-centered learning approach will help students achieve their goals.

Interested in becoming a volunteer?  Attend an Orientation session. Staff will give you a broad overview of our agency, what a literacy tutor does, where we need tutors and what to expect from our upcoming Training classes.
