Street sweeper causes accident in Seneca Falls, one sent to hospital

A Waterloo man was hospitalized after a street sweeper crossed in the path of his vehicle, according to authorities.

The Seneca Falls Police Department reports that on August 31 at approximately 8:15 am investigators were called to a two car personal injury accident on State Route 414.

The accident occurred in the Town of Seneca Falls and happened when a street sweeper, being operated by Kim Krueger, 64, of Clyde crossed into the path of a vehicle traveling south on Route 414. That vehicle was being operated by Johnny A. Robinson, 48, of Waterloo.

Robinson complained of back and leg pain and was transported to Geneva General Hospital by ambulance. Both vehicles sustained major damage and were towed from the scene. The Seneca Falls Fire Department assisted on the scene, according to authorities.
