Vehicle crashes into sailboat cradles at German Brothers Marina in Canandaigua

On Wednesday evening, shortly after 7:30 pm, Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies responded along with the Canandaigua Police Department, Canandaigua Ambulance, and the Cheshire Fire Department responded to the report of a single-car motor vehicle crash at German Brothers Marina on County Road 16 in the Town of Canandaigua.

The driver, Robert Sheridan, age 67 of West Gibson Street in Canandaigua, was operating his 2011 Buick Enclave southbound on County Road 16 when the vehicle left the highway and traveled onto the property at German Brothers Marina and crashed into several sailboat cradles.

Mr. Sheridan was extricated from his vehicle and transported to F.F. Thompson Hospital by Canandaigua Ambulance.

Police believe Mr. Sheridan suffered a medical emergency that caused his to crash.
