Auburn’s David May loses 4&3 in final eight at U.S. Mid-Am

UPDATE: David May’s run through the field at the U.S. Men’s Mid-Am Championship came to an end in the quarterfinal round of eight on Wednesday morning in Elverson, Pennsylvania. Auburn’s May was defeated 4&3 by Scott Harvey of Greenboro, NC in their match which teed-off at 8:00 am.

Auburn’s David May defeated Craig Mason the second round of match play at the 2016 USGA Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship on Tuesday at Stonewall Golf Club in Elverson, Pennsylvania to advance to the quarterfinals and round of eight. May will face Scott Harvey of Greensboro, NC on Wednesday morning at 8:00 am for a chance to advance to the semifinals.

Also qualifying for this week’s Mid-Am, and advancing through the 36-hole stroke play competition was Waterloo High School graduate Mike Stackus Jr. who was knocked off by Scott Harvey, 2&1, in the round of 64 on Monday.
