Ithaca police officers highest paid in southern tier with average salary of $85K

Officers at the Ithaca Police Department are the highest paid in the Southern Tier with the average pay of $85, 414, according to new information released by the Empire Center Tuesday.

“The latest county and municipal payroll database includes 2015-16 fiscal year payroll information for full-time and part-time workers actively enrolled in the pension system as of August 2016,” the organization’s website states.

    They should be getting paid more! And the other communities and counties should do the same! Troopers do less and get paid even more. No disrespect but the counties cities town villages etc. should be more!
