Auburn police: Burglaries, harassment and calls for service up from July

The number of burglaries, harassment complaints and calls for service increased in August, according to the Auburn Police Department. In the department’s monthly activity report, police noted 3,343 calls for service last month; that’s up from the 3,114 calls received in July. In addition, there were 10 more burglary investigations and a dozen more harassment cases.
