Three arrested after traffic stop in Waterloo

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports, on Wednesday at approximately 5:30 pm, deputies arrested the following after a traffic stop in the Town of Waterloo:

Kali Montes, age 20, of 105 1/2 Main St. Waterloo, NY. Montes was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th (heroin) and Aggravated Unlicensed Operator 2nd.

Joshua Morgan, age 21, of 105 1/2 Main St. Waterloo, NY. Morgan was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operator 2nd.

Kyle Tohafijan, age 21, of 41 Church St. Waterloo, NY. Tohafijan was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th (Buprenorphine AKA Suboxone).

While on patrol, Deputies observed Morgan operating a motor vehicle on Border City Rd. Deputies had prior knowledge that Morgans privilege to operate a motor vehicle was suspended and revoked.

As Deputies turned on said vehicle in an attempt to make a traffic stop, Morgan and the rear passenger, Montes, switched seats. Upon further investigation, Deputies located a quantity of heroin with in the vehicle and Suboxone.

Morgan and Montes were released on appearance tickets. Tohafijan was arraigned at the Village of Waterloo Court where he was committed to the custody of the Sheriff in lieu of $1,000. All parties are scheduled to re appear on 10/14/2016 at the Town of Waterloo Court.
