Battle continues: Ontario County Jail agrees to new program to combat opioid addiction

The number of people incarcerated at the Ontario County Jail affected by drug or alcohol abuse comprise approximately 80 percent of the facility’s population, according to Ontario County Chief Corrections Officer Alice Haskins. Of that number, around 30 percent of those inmates struggle with opioid abuse, she added.
