Finger Lakes Land Trust adds 18-acre parcel on Canandaigua Lake

Finger Lakes Land Trust has added a scenic 18-acre parcel overlooking the south end of Canandaigua Lake and the West River to its network of conserved lands. The land trust announced the latest acquisition on Greisa Hill Road is from Rochester resident Ed Cloos, who sold the land for less than its appraised fair market value.

The property features meadows and rugged gorge and hillside woodlands above Route 21. Cloos had used the property as a retreat and a place to grow grapes for more than 40 years, according to the land trust.
