Rape victim addresses defendant before he receives 20 years to life in prison

A Geneva man who last month decided against having his rape case go to trial will serve 20 years to life in prison. Donald J. Hunt, accused of raping a woman in a motel room, was sentenced Wednesday in Ontario County Court.

During August, in the middle of his trial, Hunt, 55, stepped forward and entered an Alford plea to six charges he faced, including first-degree attempted rape and first-degree criminal sex act, both class C felonies.
