Cato-Meridian cancels Friday’s football game due to lack of eligible players

The Cato-Meridian football team has canceled its game on Friday due to a lack of eligible players to field a team, according to athletic director Jim Miller.

Prior to the season, Cato-Meridian head coach C.J. Hannon had expressed concern over the lack players on the roster. The Blue Devils opened its schedule with 24 listed players, but that doesn’t account for any injuries or academic ineligibles that may have occurred since the start of the season.
