Restricted water use, dwindling lake levels, parched fields and wells running dry have early autumn feeling like mid-July.
David Shaw never thought when he bought property in a wooded area of Honeoye that he would run out of water, but he did.
Shaw closed on the purchase Aug. 9 and in fixing up the house, started painting. When he went to wash his paint brushes he knew he was in trouble. He turned on the faucet, and out came a trickle of brown water. His well had run dry.
