Front brings late day showers to the Finger Lakes Monday

Showers ahead of a frontal boundary will bring some light rain to the Finger Lakes later today. Out ahead of the front, it will be a bit on the breezy side with near normal temperatures.

Southeasterly winds, which could gust to 30 mph at times this afternoon, will erode away some of the chill from the weekend. Temperatures this afternoon should rise to around 70 degrees, with some places in the upper 60s and others into the low 70s.

Sunny periods will mix with cloudier times, but the trend will be for overcast skies to take over this afternoon.

Rain showers will start to enter western New York during the afternoon hours and should push into the western Finger Lakes by the mid-afternoon. Showers will slowly work east across the Finger Lakes before arriving in the eastern Finger Lakes and Central New York this evening.
