Tractor trailer involved in rollover on Route 14A in Seneca

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, as well as the Stanley and Gorham Fire Departments were called to the scene of a rollover crash on State Route 14A and Leet Road in the Town of Seneca on Tuesday, according to deputies in Ontario County.

Authorities say that the accident occurred around 5:04 pm when a tractor trailer, being operated by Pascal Oyamo, 37, of Deleware was traveling south on State Route 14A when he entered the corner at the intersection with Leet Road.

The rig then flipped onto it’s side while navigating the corner and came to rest after striking trees on the west side of the roadway. Red’s Automotive removed the wreckage, according to deputies. A portion of Route 14A was closed for more than seven hours, as crews worked to clean up from the accident.

The driver was transported to Geneva General Hospital to be checked over and was ticketed for failing to reduce his speed. The charge will be answered later in Seneca Town Court.
