Ontario County supervisors cut number of committees

The Ontario County Board of Supervisors has overwhelmingly backed reducing the number of its committees from 10 to 6.

The measure was approved at the board’s Thursday meeting. It came after the board’s Governmental and Improved Methods Committee, chaired by Geneva city Supervisor Greg Bendzlowicz, looked into the change along with board Chairman Jack Marren, Clerk Karen DeMay and county Administrator Mary Krause.
