Wayne County case proves DWI can be tricky to prosecute

The State Trooper was running radar near Fifth Road in the Town of Huron at 11:13 pm on Monday (10/10). The trooper clocked the motorcycle speeding by at 100 miles per hour. As the trooper pulled out to follow, the motorcyclist travelled into the oncoming lane, blew through a stop sign, before pulling into his own driveway at 6380 North Huron Road. At that point, the motorcycle operator, Gerald E. White, age 42, dropped his bike, threw off his motorcycle helmet, failed to comply with the trooper’s order to stop and, according to the trooper, staggered into the residence.
