Skaneateles, Owasco residents: New I-81 means trucks will take shortcut on our roads

Some residents of Syracuse's western suburbs said they fear any change to the Interstate 81 sending traffic around the city would ultimately increase truck traffic on roads that run through small villages and rural towns. "The outcome will impact our region for generations to come," said Owasco Town Supervisor Ed Wagner, at a meeting attended by about 100 people in Skaneateles High School.
