Canandaigua PD: Palmyra man strangled male victim with tow strap

A Palmyra man is facing felony charges after an incident involving a male victim in the City of Canandaigua on Sunday.

The Canandaigua Police Department reports that on Sunday, at approximately 4:15 pm officers responded to an incident, which resulted in the arrest of Jacob G. Faircloth, 28, of Palmyra. Faircloth was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, a Class D felony.

Police say Faircloth is accused of strangling a male with a tow strap that resulted in the victim suffering injuries to his neck that required medical treatment. He was arraigned in City Court and remanded to the Ontario County Jail in lieu of bail.
