Speakers at "Understanding Diversity," a community forum held Monday night at Auburn Public Theater, agreed on much. But perhaps the strongest consensus was that their dialogue must continue. Auburn Public Theater Artistic Director Angela Daddabbo convened the forum in response to an Oct. 15 set by comedian Godfrey, whose material about slavery and interacting with police as a black man was labeled "racist" by select audience members. Some of the show's tension boiled over at the end, when Godfrey asked the audience about San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick's kneeling protest during the national anthem.
