Grand jury decides against animal cruelty charges in Macedon dog shooting case

A Wayne County grand jury has decided that an animal cruelty charge does not fit the actions of the Macedon town code enforcement officer and part-time Macedon police officer who gunned down a dog in August. A grand jury determined this week that Ron Hall pulled the trigger to his 9 mm Glock pistol in the direction of Sniper, a 9-year-old pit bull/lab mix, out of self defense; therefore, no criminal charges were brought against him.
