Former Geneva resident receives 15-year sentence for fractured skull attack

The former Geneva resident convicted of first-degree assault for bludgeoning a man with a metal bar at the Geneva Courtyard Apartments in May 2014 was sentenced to serve 15 years behind bars. Robert D. Lewis Jr., 55, was also ordered in Ontario County Court last week by Judge Frederick Reed to serve five years of post-release supervision for the attack on May 21, 2014. Following a disagreement about money at the apartment complex where Lewis used to reside, the then 53-year-old used a cast iron pipe to strike another man’s head multiple times, according to court documents.
