On October 31st the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit arrested Taylor M. Wollman, 37, and Kevin M. Olmstead, 35, both of Trumansburg in the Town of Covert, following a drug investigation at the residence.
Initially, Sheriff’s Investigators responded to the residence to verify the address of a registered sex offender. Following the search, investigators seized approximately eight pounds of dried marihuana and nearly sixty marihuana plants in varying stages of growth.
Both Wollman and Olmstead were charged with criminal possession of marijuana in the second degree, a Class D Felony, and unlawful growing of cannabis, a Class A misdemeanor.
They were arraigned in the Lodi Town Court and both were remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 secured bond. The pair are to appear in the Covert Town Court at a later date.
The Seneca County Code Enforcement Office also responded to the scene and condemned the building due to unsafe electrical conditions.
