A 25-year-old Geneva man was extradited back to Ontario County on October 28th after a lengthy investigation and search, which crossed state boundaries.
Deputies in Ontario County say that Samuel Goodman, 25, of Geneva was arrested on a warrant for first-degree robbery, which stemmed from an incident at a Geneva residence on October 4th. Goodman is accused of luring a victim to a home where he was involved in assaulting him, stealing his credit cards, and taking the victim’s vehicle to flee the scene.
Investigators say Goodman was apprehended initially in Delaware, where he had fled to with the stolen vehicle on October 9th. He was extradited back to Ontario County on October 28th and arraigned before Judge Aronson in the City of Canandaigua.
He was remanded to the Ontario County Jail in lieu of bail and will answer the charges at a later date in Geneva Town Court. The investigation is ongoing with additional arrests pending, according to deputies.
