Outside agencies speak about 2017 Seneca County budget

Two people connected with outside agencies receiving Seneca County funds spoke about the county’s tentative, 2017 budget at Tuesday’s Board of Supervisors meeting. Averill Bauder, executive director of the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Seneca County, said cutbacks in other funding sources threatens the discontinuation of the nutrition educator position. Bauder requested an additional $10,000 in the 2017 budget to help pay for the 10-hour-a-week position.
