An investigation is underway in Victor to determine the cause of a fire that occurred on Friday around 3:29 am.
Deputies in Ontario County say that they responded to the Apple Farm located at 1640 State Route 444 in Victor after a fire was reported. When they arrived there was heavy smoke in the area and one structure was fully-engulfed.
The deputy that arrived on scene worked with one of the owners of the property to remove a variety of animals from a fenced in area connected to the building. Victor, Egypt, Farmington, Ionia, East Bloomfield, Manchester and Mendon Fire Departments all assisted at the scene.
Updates will be provided as details of the investigation become clear.
Reports indicate that the fire destroyed the retail store portion of the facility, which the owner has said will be rebuilt.
