Waterloo company asks IDA for PILOT to build tourist cabins

The Board of Directors of the Seneca County Industrial Development Agency Thursday approved an initial financial assistance package for a Waterloo company to build 50 tourist cabins on Route 318 in Tyre. HLD Properties LLC, formed by Joseph Dendis, owner of a Waterloo soil and gravel company, would be given a three-year Payment In Lieu Of Taxes agreement, an exemption from sales tax for materials and supplies and an exemption from paying the mortgage recording tax.
