Veterans Day Ceremony set for ‘Great War’ exhibit opening at Oliver House

The public is invited to attend the county wide Veterans’ Day ceremony at the Oliver House Museum, 200 Main St. at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11. Local veterans’ organizations have invited Gunnery Sergeant Mark Moon of Benton to speak at the ceremony.

Immediately following the ceremony, the public is invited into the Oliver House Museum to celebrate the Grand Opening of the new exhibit, “Yates County in the Great War.” The exhibit commemorates the upcoming 100th anniversary in 2017, of American involvement in World War I.
