Ontario County First Assistant District Attorney Brian Dennis is now leading the contested race for county court judge after numbers from two election districts that were not counted election night are in. The Democrat has 22,188 votes with 100 percents of the districts in. Republican challenger Terence Robinson Jr., a litigator with Nixon Peabody in Rochester, now has 22,049 votes.
The two were deadlocked at 21,967 votes each after the polls closed Tuesday night, but those figures reflected tallies from 90 of 92 election districts. Republican Election Commissioner Michael Northrup said a memory card that had the numbers from those two districts was pulled from a voting machine before it had powered off.
