Barrington residents speak up at meeting

Residents of the Town of Barrington and supporters of Olney Place owner Seth Olney are telling town officials they want the dispute with Olney to end.

About 32 people attended the Oct. 26 Town Board meeting, and several commented that they would like town officials to find a way to settle the issues without going to court, but the town’s attorney, Richard M. Buck, Jr., told them the lawsuit Olney has filed against the town can’t be settled through mediation or arbitration. “All we are asking is you go to the State Liquor Authority and tell them it’s OK to use the tap room,” said one man.
