Canandaigua school teacher arrested on fraud charges

A Canandaigua school teacher has been charged with two class E felonies following an investigation by New York State Police.

Canandaigua Academy social studies and psychology teacher Todd Feldman, 45, of Farmington, was charged with one count of first-degree falsifying business records and one count of first-degree offering a false instrument for filing with intent to defraud, according to a report from New York State Police Troop E.

According to New York State penal law, a person is guilty of first-degree falsifying business records when he or she also has the intent to defraud and to commit another crime or to aid or conceal the commission of a crime.
