A Rochester pair was arrested on Monday at Eastview Mall for allegedly working together to shoplift from at least one store.
Deputies say that Najee Manor, 23, of Rochester and Jacquavia Brewer, 20, of Rochester were arrested for petit larceny and possession of burglars tools.
Both were arrested after they allegedly entered Forever 21, working on concert, with concealed empty bags inside their purse. It is further alleged that the two women then placed several items inside those bags to conceal their locations so that they could remove the merchandise from the store without paying for it, according to deputies.
The total of the merchandise inside the bags was valued at $546.90, according to deputies. Both Manor and brewer were taken into custody without incident.
Manor, who had previously been banned from the Eastview Mall property was also charged with third-degree burglary. Both women were arraigned in Victor Town Court.
Manor’s bail was set at $5,000 cash or $10,000 secured bond. Brewer’s bail was set at $3,000 cash or $6,000 bond. The pair will answer the charges at a later date.
